Matt Cooke doit être suspendu + Renaud Lavoie sur Lapierre
Blind side, à la tête, pas d'excuses.
Le cas Maxim Lapierre : quel texte ridicule de la part de Renaud Lavoie de RDS. Dire que Mike Richards n'a pas été suspendu donc Lapierre ne devrait pas être suspendu (ou moins de matchs, le propos n'est pas précis) relève de la partisanerie.
"Les défenseurs du geste de Richards vont dire que les règlements actuels de la ligue font en sorte que le geste du joueur des Flyers était légal. Peut-être, mais ce geste est 100 fois plus dangereux que celui de Maxim Lapierre. Nichol a peut-être des côtes fracturées, mais une commotion cérébrale aura des séquelles plus importantes qu'une fracture."
Lapierre frappe un gars par derrière et ce dernier frappe durement la bande sans pouvoir se protéger. Mais ce n'est pas grave... FranCHement !

Leçons olympiques
Le tournoi olympique de hockey a encore une fois donné lieu à des matchs extraordinaires cette année, comme ce fut le cas en 2006 à Turin, en 2002 à Salt-Lake City et en 1998 à Nagano. Peu importe qui l'emporte sur la patinoire, ce sont les spectateurs qui en sortent les plus gagnants.
Personnellement, je privilégierais davantage de compétitions internationales où TOUS les athlètes y sont. Je n'ai rien contre le Championnat mondial de hockey de la IIHF, mais il s'agit d'un coup de dés lorsque vient le temps de savoir si tel ou tel joueur sera présent. Certains sont blessés, d'autres font semblant d'être blessés, d'autres encore se foutent ouvertement d'y participer alors que certains joueurs n'ont pas été éliminés des séries de la LNH. Somme toute, il manque de bons effectifs.
Je crois donc qu'une Coupe du Monde doit être organisée tous les 4 ans. Comme ce fut le cas en 1996 et en 2004, j'aimerais qu'à deux ans des Olympiques, les meilleurs joueurs de hockey au monde se frottent le museau. Ça nous mène donc à 2012. Il faudrait toutefois déterminer le moment de diffusion de l'événement ainsi que les modalités entourant le tout. Voici mon idée : on annule le match des étoiles tous les deux ans (l'année des JO et l'année de la Coupe du monde) et la LNH retranche de deux à trois parties à son calendrier (les revenus de cette classique seraient répartis parmi les 30 équipes de la LNH, ce qui serait probablement une meilleure situation que la saison régulière pour bien des clubs). Je choisirais 8 équipes, séparées en deux divisions, ce qui au total donnerait près de 30 matchs sur 10 jours (3 matchs de tournoi à la ronde, 1/4, 1/2 et finale 2 de 3).

Par ailleurs, à l'instar de plusieurs pendant les JO, j'ai succombé aux charmes du ski acrobatique. Ce ne fut pas nécessairement une révélation car j'ai déjà suivi ce sport par le passé (l'époque des Brassard, Laroche, Fontaine, Gauthier, etc.), mais les soirées à regarder Jennifer Heil, Alex Bilodeau, P-A Rousseau, Vincent Marquis et autres Canadiens ont été magiques. Pour cette raison, je vous fournis une liste des prochains événements télédiffusés.
